The context of the argument is that no one thought that this young talented reciver named Victor Cruz from a rough neighborhood in New Jeresy was going to make it out and become successful. He had made it to the University of Massachussettes and had failed out due to lack of going to class and keeping his grade point average up high enough to be eligible to play football. After being kicked out he was back home in New Jeresy bagging groceries and being what everyone thought he was going to be in the first place. Then he decided to get his head on straight and join a local community college and later go on to play ball at a smaller college where he was a stand out. Three years later he is the leading reciever in the NFL and helped lead the New York Giants to becoming super bowl champions.
